Whether you are aware of it or not? Choosing a honest professional seo may be

And definitely don't agree to hidden links, white text, or any other
obviously manipulative technique. Your seo should mostly be
looking at page titles, content and link text. Everything else
affecting your ranking is related to off-site factors (outside your
web site itself). Primarily one-way incoming links to your web site
and other related off-site influences.
Do your homework, choose wisely and don't forget to listen to your gut
(that inner voice that never leads you down the wrong path)!
